Well everyone knows the old chiche' - "One day at a time." Well since my return from Las Vegas, I have gotten back onto my routine with more quickness that I contemplated. I am finally caught up on the laundry detail, as I have not given the training to my kids on proper washer/dryer useage and the operational hazard's that comes from mixing reds with the white laundry. I have found one of my kitchen counters. It had been camouflaged in an array of Cheetos bags, empty cereal boxes and dishes that never made it to their final destination when they were taken out of the dishwasher had been paired up with the dirty ones that mixed with them. The biggest undertaking was the location of my bedroom floor. Upon our return home, it looked as if Southwest had relocated their baggage claim area in our room. After finally getting caught up with family appointments, stocking the pantry that had been eatin' to the point of a can of spinach and a bag of growing potatoes remaining, (Ok exagerated, but close) and the consideration of buying a dairy cow - four gallons of milk gone in three days - Seriously guys, there wasn't that much cereal in the house an we didn't have any cookies either. OK, I'll back off, as I should be very grateful that they didn't burn the house down. If anything they were very responsible, yes I said it and put it in print, they were VERY responsible. But, still I am even more grateful that our adoptive daughter Nicolette, was here to enforce the rules while my husband and I were out of town - Which is a story that I am putting together and will appear in a three part blog, that starts today. So for now, let me just share with you a couple pictures of my handy work as a homemaker and how easy it was to get the baggage claim area relocated back to the airport. Have a great day and I hope you join me in what I hope will be a fun filled blog of "Surviving four days in the City of Lights - Las Vegas."

New Curtains to go with the room. Crown molding is the only thing left to do. |

It got my husbands approval - That's all that matters. |
